A/C problem making noise every 30 seconds

My 2012 SE hatchback is making a noise and causing the rpm dial to jump a tad. I have narrowed this down to
the A/C. This doesn't happen when the knob is turned to any of the 3 settings to the left. If the knob is turned to the right (heat, defrost, etc.) it happens. Anyone know the fix? Thanks!
